My boyfriend and I found a deal on restaurant.com for Mikey's (Uncle Mike's, actually), and decided to drop by for lunch after camping in Kettle Moraine on a Sunday afternoon. There were two other people in the pub at the time, so things were definitely calm. The service was great, and our servers were really attentive. One thing that was a little confusing for us after buying the restaurant.com deal was that they have rebranded. Their old website is still up with an old menu. The previous menu looked amazing, and we were sold upon reading the first page. The new menu is not nearly as extensive, and we were disappointed to hear that they did not have $0.35 wings. Nevertheless, the experience was good for what it was, and they had a fair amount of good food for a pub (a laminated menu, front and back). I had a black bean burger with twice-baked potato salad. It was a small side, but it's honestly the best potato salad I've ever had. The black bean burger had a good kick to it, as well. It wasn't your average black bean burger. They said that they had things to do in the back - horse shoe, and another outdoor activity. The pub is set up for people to hang out for a while. Nice atmosphere and good service. Frugality Tip: They said that they also have Groupon's available.

Mikeys is great! My husband and I go here periodically on all different days of the week! They have great drink specials, and a points system for purchases you make! After a couple visits, my husband used his points for a neon Sam Adams sign! There food from breakfast to dinner is great as well, and we really love the burgers! Lastly, great outdoor games for summer/spring!

Had such a great experience for dinner that I insisted on coming back for breakfast the next day - mostly due to having seen the breakfast menu and already wishing it was 12 hours later. Dinner - Well, there was a Hawks game on (pre playoffs) so it was LOUD and packed. Even so, Long Island Iced Teas were large and stiff (wink) and the food was great. I had Pulled pork sliders for the app, and Bourbon Bacon burger for the main. Service was a little spotty due to how busy it was but it was not bad overall. Breakfast - two words here!! Bloody Mary!! No, wait, those weren't it. Although make no mistake, the Bloody Marys are really strong and really good. No, the two words here are Meat Mustache. No no... those aren't it either. While this sandwich was interesting, it was a little frou-frou for my taste (poached eggs on a baguette, etc). Okay the two words - FLUFFY BASTARD!! Yes!! FLUFFY BASTARD!! Oh FLUFFY BASTARD, how I loved you!! Just saying your name caused me to grin continuously from ear to ear (the three Bloody Marys I drank might have helped). But then you arrived, placed lovingly in front of me, and it was game-effin' ON. Pulled pork with cheese and onions between french toast slices. FLUFFY BASTARD, you were mine! Service was more attentive for breakfast since it was not as busy. Guy recognized us from the night before and came over to introduce himself and shake our hands and make sure we liked everything. Two visits from me in 12 hours. Yeah, they do it right.

Mikeys is a blast! We have gone a handful of times in the last month and have had excellent service. It's a great place to gather with friends, or just a date might with the hubs. Our favorite foods are the shrimp scampi, ribs, pulled pork minis and pizza. They have an awesome pull tab machine, last week we won almost $200! I don't normally write reviews but I had to rave about our new fav place. Our server was so bubbly, had a great personality and kept our drinks fresh (her name was Lydia). Can't wait to head back soon!!

Went there for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. Ordered a burger and the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. The burger was cooked properly, but the amount of salt used left my husband feeling like his BP was through the roof and his mouth was tingling for about a half hour later....he drank a ton of water to try to stabilize. The mac and cheese was pretty good, a huge serving (enough for 3!) but the sauce tasted like it was just a jar of cheese whiz poured over pasta with a dash of Buffalo sauce. We had a Groupon for it, and are glad we didn't pay full price for the experience. Would not give them a second chance. Way too salty for our tastes, and expected better quality all around.

If you find yourself out and about in Pleasant Prairie, you must stop at Mikey's not just for a drink but the food. Hear me out. The food here is above and beyond your typical "bar eats." Unique concoctions like Drunken Egg Fries (fries covered in cheese topped with a fried egg, bacon, and chives) or three specialty mac and cheeses await your tastebuds. There are also pizzas and "Mikewiches" available. Initially I wasn't going to order any grub but then hubs pointed out the "Nach-Yo Mac", which is mac and cheese with pico de gallo and chorizo. This beautiful dish is then topped with creme fraiche and tortilla chips. Be still, my beating heart. And so it was ordered. When my delectable calorie bomb arrived, I stared in amazement at this large bowl of gooey, thick cheese and generous portions of pico de gallo and chorizo for what seemed like hours. I swear that time stopped. I began shoveling the food down like it was my last meal. Every single part of this dish is perfect. Creamy cheese, a slight kick from the pico, and the delicious chorizo all paired so well together. The Nach-Yo Mac is hands down one of the top fives things I've ever eaten. Mikey's is a Blackhawks bar and has a handful of stiff drinks named after some of the players. I'm a beer gal though so I remained loyal to my Spotted Cows. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that it gets terribly warm inside. Even though the air conditioning was on, you could hardly get relief. I had to duck outside many times to hang out in the shade just to cool down. Aside from that, Mikey's has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to enjoy some great brews from their craft beer selection. The bartenders were all attentive and very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Ive been here a few times when I head back home. We come for the awesome craft beer selection and tasty apps. As usual the tap selection was fabulous and there is always something new to try. The only downside was the bottles we noticed in a cooler. When asked if we could order one of those we were told that specific cooler is only open on Mondays. Not sure whats special about Mondays. We did consider going Oceans 11 style on it, but like coming here too much to risk it.

Love this bar it's just soooooo over priced!:/ it's awesome to have a Blackhawks bar in town though! Everyone who works there is great!! Food is amazing!

A good bar I hit on trips to Milwaukee. This is the best Black Hawks bar n the area and was surprised to see cheese heads into the Hawks. They have great dr k specials and a youthful bar look and vibe. The bartenders were amiable and the crowd decent enough for rigid hockey fans.

So we've eaten at Mikey's 3 times, the Bubba Gump - Shrimp Po Boy sandwich is a really good sandwich. The burgers are always delicious and will never disappoint. Today we had breakfast I had the Meat Mustache, made with 3 perfectly cooked poached eggs and a huge, delicious fruit parfait. My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with meat, it was a huge jam packed with a very tasty scramble egg mixture with Italian Sausage, Ham, Bacon, I'm not sure how many other ingredients were in it, but it was very tasty, so big two people could have eaten it and been full when they finished. We enjoy Mikey's the atmosphere is great and of course the bar tenders always attentive and fun. Jake is our favorite bartender and always makes sure that we get outstanding service. Try their new Bloody Mary's you won't regret it This morning an outrageous Bloody Mary with one of the best Pulled Pork Sliders I've ever had. The menu selections offer a great variety to guests and so far everything we've tried has been absolutely delicious. Considering the size of kitchen, the cooks put out a great quality, great tasting menu. I'd recommend eating at Mikeys not only for lunch but definitely for breakfast.

My absolute favorite establishment in the Kenosha area. Good food, great people, can't ask for anything more.

I can't say anything bad about mikeys. The food and drinks are always on point. Food is amazing!!! Try anything and you will fall in love with it. You wanna watch your favorite il/wi team, it will be on. Love going here! The only thing I can complain about is the turn around. I feel like every time we get use to a bartender they are all of a sudden not there anymore. Overall this is a great place to go sit back and have a good time.

Came here twice in the last month. First time with my friend and my boyfriend. We got the three amigos, the breaded shrimp, and the pizza bread. All delicious! And perfectly portioned for the three of us. You could definitely make a single meal out of the three amigos, most of the bar patrons were. We all enjoyed the large variety of beer. The atmosphere was really nice. Loved having the back window and door open to the patio. The flies were annoying but I can deal with that since I enjoy the patio being opened. The second time I came I brought my super picky friend. He is real critical of what he eats. He was super impressed. The menu had changed, but still really yummy sounding. The appetizers changed mostly but it was a good change! We got the chicken/bacon quesadilla to share. Huge and delicious. Full of flavor and the tortilla had just the right crunch. Then he ordered a burger, the Dante's burger (but opted out of the gaucamole). He loved it. He ordered the kettle chips. They were not made there but they warmed them up and seasoned them. I liked that a lot because I usually find home made kettle chips to be greasy and stomach turning. I ordered the Lasagna stuffed mushrooms, it was an appetizer on the specials menu. It was way smaller than I expected but it was the perfect size for me. I have eyes bigger than my stomach. It definitely would not make a meal for 90% of the population, and it's really an appetizer for two (three max). They were so good. Little bites of lasagna. I love lasagna. I would have eaten just a slab of lasagna from there if it were offered. So good! My friend is excited to go back and try more things! My only problem with the place is how close together everything is. The tables in the back are almost on top of each other. I've been here before it was Mikey's (it was Uncle Mikes- same owners?) and they had the same problem. Luckily during nice weather you can escape to the outside ( where there are games and another bar!).

Ok first off this is a bar and not a restaurant. However, they do serve an excellent breakfast. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. One person cant eat them all. So, if you like breakfast on saturday or sunday. That is one of the better places to go in town. As to the food during dinner. It is quite good. Wide selection for a bar. Fish frie is excellent andbig enough for two.

Great place! They have amazing Mac and cheese. They have two types one with bacon and green onions. Delicious! Another a buffalo chicken with blue cheese crumbles, very good with just a touch of heat. Order both and share with your table as a great side dish for everyone.

I normally don't do this, but after a few bad experiences Ive decided to speak up. I myself work in the service industry and last night gathered quite a few friends (also in the service industry) together to watch the Blackhawks game and get some dinner and drinks. I will not be returning to Mikey's again. I was over charged for things I didn't order as was once of my friends. Two of my friends were given some one else's order. Two more of my friends who were told along with myself and my boyfriend to "put their order in now because there are no orders in the kitchen." didn't even receive their food because the bartender forgot to put the order in. There were probably 15 people in the bar at the time, and in my opinion if there are two bartenders on duty and a full kitchen staff theres no excuse to forget an order. Sorry Mikey's, I wish I had my $70 back.

Loved the food and atmosphere here! First time visit was with a Groupon. Mac and cheese is wonderful comfort food. Burgers are great and the pork sandwich is delicious. This location far surpasses the service and the time it takes do get your food than the same owner Capt Mikes down by the harbor. We return many times and would recommend to all.

First this rating is based on the concept of this being a "gastropub" or diner, whatever they want to call it, but as a place to go eat. Now if this was to be marketed as a bar, which it is, my rating would be higher at 4 stars. I lived in the area when this place first opened and was called Uncle Mike's Top Shelf Pub. It was mainly a beer bar with food limited to pizza and a few other bar favs. I have not had the food so my rating is not based on the quality of the food but I will say that the menu options did look intriguing. On a recent return visit I stopped in, saw the name change and I can swear but still dont believe what I saw that they are open at 9 AM every day. Yes they do have a large breakfast menu which again is just odd. It is odd for a number of reasons the first is the layout of the place. This is a bar and there is a straightened "S" shaped bar along one wall (think of the S from KISS logo). The other seats are a few of the tall round tables with 4 tall stools around them. This place is long and narrow with some outdoor seating when it is nice. The other odd part is there is nothing around this place, yes there is an older place across the street (Village Supper Club) that I have never seen anyone go in, but it is a couple of miles south to Kenosha and a few miles north to Winthrop Harbor, no place for lodging, unless they have some arrangement where everyone sleeps it off in the parking lot and then comes in for breakfast otherwise it just is an odd concept. Now the beer selection is good with about 20 taps and a couple of coolers full of bottles. With the condensed space it does get very loud and crowded so if you are going here for the food I would recommend the off-hours otherwise just go for the drinks. After my visit all I could think was square peg in a round hole. I understand that the owner has a vision but if the layout and equipment dont match everyone, this includes staff and customers, will get frustrated.

Worst dining experience I have had in a long time- such a disappointment! First, I arrived a few minutes after the breakfast menu ended. Usually, in order to make a guest happy, places are a little flexible on this... not so! Not at all a huge deal, but of course, no extra customer service points awarded there. After looking over the menu, I found a "breakfasty" burger with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns & some mystery sauce. I ordered the sauce on the side so that I could taste it before having my whole sandwich covered in it. As this place does not have fries (they have potato chips, which are the equivalent of Lay's- nothing special) I asked if I could have hashbrowns as a side since the cooks would have to make them for the burger anyway. I was told the kitchen could not do this... not sure exactly why... again- just not very concerned with guest satisfaction. Anyway, we wait for our food... and wait for our food. There was one other table who ordered food within a half hour of us- otherwise the place was pretty slow. After an hour had passed WITH NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHAT WAS TAKING SO LONG, we asked when the food would be ready. No apology- our waitress flippantly said she'd go check, not even acknowledging the problem. Awhile later she came back to say that the kitchen was backed up and it would be about 15 minutes. Backed up doing what, I have no idea, as the other table that had ordered food had been served awhile before. I could have cooked our whole meal in 15 minutes. At the hour and a half mark- get this- our appetizer comes out! We had assumed that our less than brilliant waitress had just forgotten about the appetizer and we were fine with that, as at this point, we just wanted to get out of there. Nope, here comes the appetizer, followed about a minute later by our entrees. Of course, the "special sauce" was smothered all over my burger. I optimistically tried it... and it was disgusting. Upon telling our waitress that after having waited an hour and a half for our food, it was pretty disappointing that the order was not done correctly, she said, "I'll tell the kitchen." Okay- great. I'm glad they will be informed, but how about the food sitting in front of me that I don't want to eat?! I was a server for years- it is your job to provide SERVICE! This girl never once apologized or acknowledged the incredibly long wait or the fact that the food was prepared improperly. Unbelievable. Not to mention, that as slow as they were, she certainly could've checked the order to see if it was correct. She could've offered any number of options to better serve the guests- something while you wait, have your food taken back and prepared properly, chat with the manager- anything! I could've dealt with the slow cook time and kitchen mess up, but when there is zero customer service to back it up... lose/ lose. You could not pay me to go back here and eat and waste another two hours of my life. This place was a complete nightmare.
